The Nuñez Firm > Testimonials

I worked with another immigration attorney before Jay, and I was really disappointed. It seemed that after I hired the attorney, it was impossible to ever speak with him. I always had to speak with a secretary or paralegal. Whenever I had questions, I would leave a message and the attorney would call back a day later or sometimes not at all. I did not have the attorney's email or cell phone number, and it took a long time to get anything done. I felt like my case was not a priority at all for him.

Jay was the complete opposite in every way. I had his cell phone number and email address. When I called him, HE ANSWERED THE PHONE. I never had to deal with a secretary or paralegal. When I emailed Jay, he would often respond within minutes. I felt like he was my own personal attorney. The attention and personal care Jay gave my case made me feel like his only client. He was easily accessible and great to work with. The other attorney seemed to build up walls making it impossible to access him, but Jay did not do that at all. Thanks for all your help, Jay.

We contacted several attorneys and consulted with at least five of them before we decided to work with the Nunez firm. Jay was very knowledgeable and professional, and the only attorney who really understood my quite complicated 7 years long case in depth. Jay was able to reverse a previous court decision on my behalf and put my case back on track. I highly recommend working with him.

Jay Nunez was a godsend at a time when my wife was finishing her application for citizenship.  We needed sound legal advice, which we were not always getting; Jay assisted us in every way and made the process downright enjoyable.  He told us exactly what we needed to know, and there were no surprises in store for us. He was there at the important interviews to provide impeccable legal council and support.  My wife is now a proud citizen of the US.

Jay takes a personal interest in his clients, a trait that is especially admirable in our increasingly mechanized society.  He went out of his way to understand our concerns. He has my highest recommendation.  If we need any further help on immigrations matters, he's the one for us!,

After INS lost a change of address letter I have sent to them, my application was denied and I was placed on deportation proceedings. I have been fighting my deportation case for over 10 years, and felt really helpless, I hired the top attorneys in LA and NY, they were all unsuccessful in helping me and charged me a fortune, I felt as if I was just another client to them in the index of many others.

When I met Jay Nunez, I was truly amazed by the Human treatment that he had treated me with. Jay Nunez is respectful, caring and compassionate. Jay Nunez Genuinely cares about his clients and is exceptionally talented. Jay Nunez had helped me win the deportation case in a very short time and also helped me receive the Green Card for permanent residency... I can finally go visit my family... Thank you so very much Jay from the bottom of my heart.

I want to thank Mr. Jay Nunez for helping me to get my green card, my husband and I have tried for almost 5 years to get it back so we could be in the United States together. My visa was taken away by officials at the United States-Mexico border nearly five years ago, soon after we applied for a fiance visa and got denied twice. Since then we have tried everything to get it back even my consulate tried to help but nothing worked. We had a previous lawyer who didn't care about our case and tried to charge outrage sums of money for no results. Now that we've worked with Jay we've seen the difference a good immigration attorney can make. Jay was professional, honest, kind, caring, and was fully dedicated to doing whatever it took to resolve our case. Ever since my visa was taken away it has been a nightmare for my husband, myself and for our families, Jay's dedication and kindness has made all the difference to us. We can't recommend him enough.

God bless you.

From a client who won his deportation case, and was allowed to stay in the United States with a green card: "Jay, you were wonderful to work with over the last year. I really appreciate your patience and attentiveness. Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family. Because of you, I have been given a second chance. I will never do anything to risk my status in the United States again. I am so happy that I can stay in the United States and continue living with my wife and 11 month old daughter. Thank you from all of us."

"Attorney Jay Nuñez was a blessing for my family and I. He helped us gain asylum in the United States and avoid being deported back to the Eastern Congo, where we surely would have been killed. We won our asylum case, because of Mr. Nuñez's hard work and attention to the details. He also helped my seven children immigrate to the United States. He helped us raise enough money to pay for the plane tickets and to buy warm clothing, jackets and sleeping bags for our children. They had never been in cold weather before. Jay is a good friend, a great lawyer and a wonderfully kind man. We all thank you for being in our lives."

I was desperate one day and talked to Jay about my husband and my immigration issues. He was so kind and honest and I appreciated his help SO MUCH! He could have tried to promise us things that were not possible and take our money like other unscrupulous lawyers but he did not. He had nothing to gain, but helped me anyway. I LOVE A GOOD, HONEST LAWYER!!!!! When I do have to pay an attorney for help, I will pay Jay, gladly.

I moved to the United States in 2004 and was a happily married woman....Unfortunately I became a victim of spousal abuse and had to leave my house. I have been fighting for my green card ever since. I have been working with several attorneys on my case and never actually received the help I would have needed in order to be able to stay here. I lost all faith in the system and was very upset and embarrassed having to tell my story to several people and just getting one bill after another without even getting any results or feeling like I'm being taken care of. As I finally received my deportation notice after not hearing from Immigration for almost two years, I found the Nunez Firm. A great friend referred me, trusting the Nunez Firm to take care of me the right way.

The Nunez Firm is great, very dedicated to their clients and always responsive and compassionate about work. My experience with the Nunez Firm has been nothing but positive for me - Jay Nunez would always and very quickly follow up with me with an email or he just jumped on the phone. He spent a lot of hours doing research for me, so he could find any way possible to help me! He reviewed my case from a standpoint never thought of by others and pursued it successfully. He has not only been a great Attorney, but also a very dedicated trusted advisor and friend that is very knowledgeable and committed to his work! He has been listening to my story and found a way to help me. I filed a very difficult case with The Nunez Firm and received an approval. Jay was a great attorney to have on my side! Thank you so much Jay! You are the best!

I RECOMMEND 100% JAY NUNEZ. I have been trying to get my green card for over 4 years now. I spoke to so many immigration officers, and I always got different reasons for the delays. Finally, I decided to get a lawyer. I met with Jay, and we reviewed my case together. He estimated that he should be able to have my case resolved within 2 months or so. After I hired him, he immediately went to work on my case and he contacted many immigration officers and met with them. Three weeks after I hired Jay, my green card was delivered to my house. It was AMAZING how quickly Jay got my case resolved. Thank you SO MUCH, JAY NUNEZ!!!!

Jay, Thank you for helping my wife and me through the green card process. We appreciated that you worked closely with us and always had time to answer our questions and hold our hands through the process. I was glad that we only worked with you as you promised, and we did not have to work with a law student, secretary or paralegal. I will highly recommend you to any friends of ours that need an immigration attorney. Thanks.

"Mr. Nunez came to us through a referral. I've been in the U.S for 5 years under an H1B visa and recently got married to a U.S. citizen. Although the application process for a Permanent Residence Card at first glance seems straight forward, it is in fact quite cumbersome hence why engaged an attorney. Mr. Nunez filed our application on July 4, 2009, accompanied us to the formal interview on October 9th and I shortly after received my permanent residence card on October 19th. Surprisingly, about 80% of the couples had representation on their interview day and we were truly glad we had Jay by our side."

"I am a US Citizen, and I filed a visa petition for my brother to come to the United States. I did not use a lawyer, and there was some confusion with USCIC whether the visa petition was sent to the wrong office or was misplaced. I hired Jay Nunez to help me clear up the confusion, and make sure everything was handled correctly and no problems would result with my brother's case. Jay quickly went to work on my case, and within a short time we had acquired written confirmation from USCIS that the file was at the National Visa Center, where it should be. Jay Nunez was easy to work with and always kept me updated with new information as soon as he knew anything. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an immigration lawyer."

I hired Mr. Jay for my vawa case. I would like to recommend Mr. Jay for your immigration cases because of several reasons. Mr. Jay is not only very knowledgeable but he is also very understanding, caring and compassionate. He always answered my phone calls. He researched on my case and helped me prepare my documents on time. He helped me at the time when I was really disheartened and had lost hope in everything. He gave me strength. I was very satisfied with the kind of work and service he provided me.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Jay for all the hard work. Thanks a lot. You are the best!!

I couldn't be more satisfied on hiring The Nunez Firm on my VAWA case. Jay Nunez is the best immigration attorney one could ask for. He took his time and dedicated himself on my case. Any time I had a doubt, he would answer me right away. When I had an interview in immigration, he came with me. He helped me all along the way, giving me follow ups during the entire case while it was pending. Thanks to his professional experience on VAWA cases, his patience with me as a client and his determination, I have a green card today.

Jay, I had my interview yesterday morning and it went very well! It was short and sweet, the officer asked me a few questions and then went on to the civics exam, which was a breeze. She didn’t ask to see any documents, tax returns or any paper work, so I was out of there in about half an hour.

I got a paper stating they will notify me when to go to the oath ceremony and that’s it! So, thank you very much for your assistance and good work. Your reviewing my application and advising me on the naturalization process made things very easy.

Jay Nunez esq has superior knowledge on immigration matters. I find him to be cool under fire, exceptionally organized, and he has earned my respect and would not only recommend him but will use him for any future needs i may have. Thanks for the good work Jay!!
